    Digital photo color analysis

I know there are sites out there that analyze colors in photos. Anybody know of any?

Thanks for asking Diane, I was just thinking about this the other day for a quilt I want to do from a picture.

Just curious. How would you use a color analyzer? I haven't heard of this before.

I looked at both of these sites and I am not sure they are what I had in mind. I guess what I am looking for is a program that will look at a photo and tell me the colors in it so I can take it and find the colors in fabric to make the quilt. Does that make sense?

Yes, Ritzy, that is exactly what I am looking for. Have a beautiful Chimney Rock across the road from my living room window I want to make a quilt of. I want the colors in the picture! I know someone out there can help us.

I tried mkweb and it kind of does what I want, a little more complex than I was expecting. Might play around with a bit. I think I need to edit my photo some. Trim, change the angle of my picture. I was surprised by the color analysis, but I may need to take more photos.
Thank you, will continue to play.

I typed "photo into color palette" into Google and came up with tons of free sites that do this. Also try "color palette generator"

                Have fun!

I found a new palette generator that was mentioned today on a blog I read:

http://www.play-crafts.com/blog/ Click Palette Builder in the top menu. The really neat thing about this one is that not only does it give color swatches, it also gives Kona Cotton names on color swatches!! Tres Cool!!
