The Bobbin House-a great little place in Mpls, MN

    Hi fellow quilters!
A good friend of mine just introduced me to a place here in Minneapolis run by some very good friends of hers. It is called The Bobbin House and they have a wide variety of classes and the cutest most comfy apartment for rent at very reasonable prices. Check out their website--I would be staying here if I didn't have family in the area!

Being a long term resident of MPLS, MN I can tell you that the Prospect Park area is a wonderful artistic neighborhood and Minneapolis has many wonderful quilty places to visit, so if you are ever in the area, check things out. The Minneapolis Art Institute has some wonderful tapestries. The Walker Art Institute is great for Modern Art inspiration and of course the Sculpture Garden with the Cherry Spoon and many other things. I use Bear Patch Quilts in White Bear Lake ( a north eastern suburb) for the maintenance on my Bernina and they have been super. And they have some great fabrics. I love Minneapolis even though I have had my address and main residence in Texas for over fifteen years. When I retire again, when I need assistance or health care, I will be back in Minnesota. LOVE MY HOME STATE even though for now I am a TEXAN (not a bad state either) Hugs, Ann

Cindy, that does look very inviting. Makes me want to call my daughter to meet me there for a vacation.
Ann, I had lunch at White Bear Lake a few weeks ago, but didn't get to do any quilty stuff. :x We were in a hurry to get to Duluth. Maybe the next trip will be more quilt oriented.
