Where to get charm packs
I've been trying to purchase charm packs online and it seems that the choices I have found so far are limited. Seems that I find tons of Moda and Kaffe fabrics, but not a lot of anything else. The Fat Quarter Shop was great and I bought several of theirs. Batiks seem popular, but not what I'm looking for. Does anyone have a favorite online store that they purchase from?

That would be my suggestion also. They have a lot of precuts in different sizes and stylesOriginally posted by rehakI'm not sure about charm packs, but Keepsake Quilting (keepsakequilting.com) has a lot of collections of 2.5" strips so they might have something for you. They have a lot of collections that are not batiks.

If you belong to a quilt guild, why not initiate a charm pack exchange with your guild members? You can establish the rule based on the type of charms YOU want. I'd bet that there are others that would enjoy it as much as you would. Guilds are always looking for special activities to encourage membership participation. Next month, our guild is having a Strip Bingo meeting where all members bring their strips to be used as prizes.Originally posted by pennyhalI've been trying to purchase charm packs online and it seems that the choices I have found so far are limited. Do we have a 'looking innocent' icon somewhere?? Jill, I'm never naughty (oops.... nose is growing Pinocchio-style).
Seriously, though: I have no time to get involved in any exchanges. As a lounge lizard, mug rugger, some involvement with the British Quilters Guild, working fulltime, and having a gorgeous 3-year-old granddaughter living close by, time is something I wish I could buy. But, Penny, if you email me through my profile here, with your address, I'll post you very eclectic mix of charms (please, tell me if you want 2.5, 3, 4, 5, or 6 inch sizes). I always cut left over scraps into squares of those sizes, so they would be ready to fly.

Lorchen, thank you for your generous offer! However, the Missouri Star Quilt Company had just what I wanted and purchased a ton. So I don't need any more! I've wanted to do a charm quilt for a while now, so I'm finally getting started...at last! From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood
