Love your cushions and the quilting. I'm still waiting for better light to take a photo of my first finished project.

Lovely cushion, Marianne. And delighted you are having fun too.

My next finish - more thimbles, plus a ring which will be living on my right hand, but I cannot take (worthwhile) photos lefthanded
I've been wondering if I can produce them fast enough to be able to sell them for sensible price, because I could do with some extra funds for an online university embroidery course I have signed up for.

Thank you for all your compliments on my cushions - you are all very encouraging.
Rosemary, those rings are such fun. I'm sure people who knows how much time goes into making things will be willing to pay the price you need to charge to not be out of pocket and even earn some OU money.

                Rosemary -

I would buy a couple of the thimbles. I am sure other people would want one too.

I was just wondering whether ARJJ would mind me setting up shop on the forum ops: I could always try a bit of bribery of free samples I suppose

Give me a week or two to try and sort out sizing issues, and a patterns availability list and we will try and go from there. Thus far I have made thinbles, I jewellry ring, 2 pairs of ear-rings, a bangle & one double length 'pandora style' diameter bead. With the heavier weight of thread (& patterns) I have been using/making this week I would say that the starting price is about £15 each ring, but I have limited stocks of that size thread (& colours) so I will need to look into that as well. I did make one last summer using a much finer thread and it took nearly 8 hours  which I am not proposing to do!

Rosemary...what kind of thread do you use?

Rosemary, I guess this is just something you have to do because you now have so much extra time on your hands. However, I didn't hear that you are giving up quilting. I guess I missed that post. I could do a whole lot of quilting in 8 hours.

Maybe you and Lotti have the same type of metabolism. Lucky yous!

Please add me to the list for a thimble Rosemary!

Marianne, your cushions are beautiful! Good for you to start completing projects this early in the year.
