I've used "Soft and Stable" on a different bag and it was nice for that bag. I don't think I would use it for Marilyn's bag. Soft and Stable is an interesting, spongy material that I think is nice if you are quilting your bag. It provides a bit more stability than batting. When I made the same bag as Marilyn I didn't quilt it. It just has so many pockets and zippers and details that it seemed like quilting would get in the way. But I could be way off with that opinion and also with the opinion that I wouldn't use Soft and Stable in an unquilted bag.

For those interested, Soft and Stable is a Superior Threads product available on their Web site. It's probably also available at quilt shops that carry their products.

Thanks Marilyn and Nancy for all the info about this bag. I'll have to consider making one sometime.

Thanks for explaining, but now I'm the one who wonders. I mean the Soft and Stable is a by Annie's product. I learned about it recently and find it awesome.
Maybe I will try your pattern, Marilyn. It's a great bag.

Well when I went to the link you gave Marilyn something looked very familiar. Sure enough ...I already have this pattern! A friend gave it to me last year and I set it aside. I guess I am meant to make one.

Beverly your quilt is beautiful. I have been wanting to do one of Bonnie Hunter's quilts but haven't, now I think I will start pulling fabric to do one.
