    BUYING NOTIONS AND BERNINA FEET

I am going to take my machine in for a service / cleaning session. Because the store is over 70 miles I drop it off then pick it up the following week end. This means I will get two shots at buying notions and BERNINA feet that are useful to future quilting endeavors. I save up money all year for this trip. T.Q.S. over the years have recommended various feet and notions that is useful. I won't have time to review the DVDs.

What were the feet that T.Q.S recommended and did you like them and find them useful.

What feet / notions did you find most useful? WHAT did you use it for?

Any notions / feet you found useless. What was MUST HAVE.

I am planning for RETIREMENT when I will have less $$$ for discriminatory spending, so I am buying things now.... WHAT DO I HAVE TO HAVE FOR THE FUTURE. I would like to avoid buying something that will just sit in a drawer.... have to many of those notions.

Anna, if you like free motion work I would suggest Libby Lehman's free motion couching foot #43. She demos in in the video that is available until the end of this month (at minute 56).

You can also see it in the Bernina video: learn/bernina/

    http://www.bernina.com/en-US/Product...uching-foot-en

Of course, basic feet include the patchwork foot #37, an off-set free motion foot # 9, a walking foot #50, an open-toe applique foot # 20, Pintuck foot for mini piping #30,31 or 32, edgestitch #10 for stitching in the ditch. (The walking foot also now comes with a guide for stitching in the ditch.)

    Hope that helps.

      Margo,

THANKS .... I am going through the BERNINA CLIPS to make a list but I am on INTERNET restrictions again so that is slow going. I put your suggestions on my list. BTW it was nice meeting you in Grand Rapids.... YOU were so busy.

            Dear Lady Rags,
I have found my transparent sewing foot invaluable for precise piecing and turning corners etc....also my machine quilting transparent foot which ends up being a bit oval in shape.
            cheers
