    Tommy Romano's iron

Does anyone know the brand of iron Tommy was using in his show?
    Much thanks!

I noticed that it looked like my GE travel iron..from the 60s..complete with cloth covered cord !
I have two..the second one from a yard sale ! as a spare ! Would not part with them !!

I'll go check out the 'net to see if there's anything like it. I loved the look of it! Thanks.

I don't know about his, but here's a dry iron:
        http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/s...Dry_Iron/42277
        and another:
        http://www.homedepot.com/buy/applian...l#.UCq-sFLF98E
        and another:

When I want a hot dry iron, I just use my Rowenta travel iron and never fill it with water. Works great, though I like steam when pressing quilt squares. They get nice and flat.

I've had the dry iron that's seen at Home Depot and the Always Free Shipping site. The temp gauge fell apart QUICKLY on both of them.
I might try the Vermont Country Store one but was super interested in the one Tommy used because of the way of holding it.
          Thanks!

I really like the dry iron from the Vermont Country Store that BJ mentioned.

It gets HOT fast, is doesn't turn itself off, and I like the weight and pointy tip for pressing seams.

              Hi Laura,

When on the road we use an antique travel iron I found at a flea market. The iron on the Boulder set is also an antique with a flat sole plate. We like both of these irons as they are very hot and do not shut off.

Why don't you try going straight to the source. Tommy is a TQS member. Go to his profile page and send him an email. Otherwise, i can tell you I ordered the iron from the Vermont Country Store (just because Margo said it was good, and she's never led us astray )
