Well, flat Rita with the safari hat was lost in transit, but I got to meet 3d Rita last Sunday in Powerscourt, County Wicklow! 3d Rita is much more fun, pretty and funny than flat Rita. Rita and I, with our husbands, had a wonderful lunch then walked the gardens at Powerscourt. Rita and I discussed all our quilting ideas, thoughts and even frustrations.

Because the radio in our tin can car is so terrible, we bought a Rita CD and are so enjoying it as we drive around Ireland. Rita even sings beautifully!

I am so grateful to TQS for creating an environment so that I could meet and have a friend in Ireland as nice as Rita!!!

Hey Geneva, I can only agree with you!!! Managed to meet up with Rita a few times during my visit to Ireland and the quilt show in Galway early this summer... And can only say it is people like Rita and friends who make Ireland such a joy to visit!

So great that you and Rita were able to connect! I'm hoping my turn will come one of these days! Yes, yes, Rita, the limoncello...

See you don't have to go to Houston to meet a forumer.

Hey Geneva, it was so great to meet you and BC too. Of course we got the lecture from the kids again about meeting up with people we don't know from the internet. It is an extraordinary thing this forum, meeting up with people I never even knew existed two years ago and finding that we have so much in common. It was great to talk and walk quilts, quilts and more quilts with you Geneva. I hope you come back again sometime. And you too Lotti - but I don't imagine it will be for the 2nd International Quilt Festival of Ireland.

Second Irish quilt festival certainly won't be on my agenda... But I will be back!
The great thing about meeting up with our TQS friends is that we immediately have such common ground to walk on... It really is like finally getting together with a friend we've known for a long time!
