I would like the name of this male quilter who does animal quilts that are suppose to be spectacular. He and his mom owned the Cotton Ball quilt store in Morro Bay but they sold out. His quilts are suppose to even be in magazines.

I know that Rob grew up working in his mom's quilt shop and that he makes endangered species quilts, but don't know the name of the quilt shop. This is probably him.

yes, it's Rob Appell. I've been to the Cotton Ball in Morro Bay, in its old location and the new location.

I saw Rob and his mom at the Morro Bay shop in May and they were in the process of selling the shop, including the building it's in. We just happened to be staying at the hotel across the street! The family has planted a vineyard; it will be interesting to see how that plays out for them. And best wishes to the new owner; long may s/he prosper on that corner! KathKatHComment
