    Paducah 2012 Award winners

I just wanted to say congratulations to Liz Jones on picking up her 1st place award for her quilt "Song of the Earth". I was lucky enough to see this quilt in person at the Malvern Quilt show UK in 2011, it was just stunning. And of course congratulations to all the other show winners with their beautiful quilts.

And for anyone who regularly blogs reading the post before Rita's link is a useful eyeopener http://sewhappygeek.co.uk/index.php/...smprotection1/ (I'm think particularly of Betty Jo, because she has talked about this, but cannot find the thread)

Rosemary, thanks so much for posting that link. I was delighted to see that there were instructions for how to watermark your photos using a Mac as well as a PC. Very useful information to have. Thanks again.

hey, I just happened to read all the words on the link you provided and went exploring, rather than just looking at the pretty pictures :P

That IS a wonderful quilt. Congratulations to all the winners, and to all those who got juried into the show. Just getting juried in is a big accomplishment I think.

Rosemary, Thanks. Did not see that particular link and the directions are excellent. I did however manage after much trial and error to figure out how to watermark my photos that I am worried about. I don't do all of them, sometimes I forget or decide it isn't needed for a particular photo. As a matter of fact, I probably should go back and watermark my latest picture for my blog I wrote last night. http://blog.bjfabricartist.com/

Having worked in a fairly technical field at one point in my life, however, I am aware that almost anything you do to protect your blogs and photos can be undone if they are determined enough, sadly, but it does help prevent the casual mistakes and misadventures.

BJ, just went to your blog and your Hoffman Challenge quilt is beautiful--I love the closeup of the house (and the swirls in the sky). You are so good!

Renata, Thanks so much! I have really been enjoying making this quilt and it's funny because I didn't much know how to approach those huge roses when I first saw the fabric.
