    Happiness is ????

Happiness is, a day in my sewing room turning trash to treasure .
Stress is when you cut off the piece you have just sewn on, not once but twice one after the other.
    GRRRRRRRRR

Sounds like you are doing paper piecing! I have done that myself so many times, while trimming the seam allowance! Not so much any more though. Once burned, twice shy! I'm probably a little more careful than I used to be! I'll bet you will be now, too. Have fun!

Anne, think of your mistakes as a creative process. You are creating more scraps for future quilts!

Happiness is...... knowing that I'm just getting started on several uninterrupted hours in the sewing room!

The cutting table and ironing surfaces would be cleared off, the iron/steamer would be full of water and ready to go
and the machine would be cleaned an oiled and ready to hum for me!
        aaaaaahhhhhhhh

Yes, Margo, yes!! Happiness is that uninterrupted time in the sewing room. I got some of that today (yay!) to work on the 2012 BOM, and I hope to get more of it this weekend. And... paper piecing is very very new to me, so I will watch out for cutting off the "incorrect" pieces (aaagghhhh!!)
