    Watching past shows again...wow

Now that I am retired and have a new Bernina 830 , and my new cabinet for that comes tomorrow , I decided to watch some past shows again to see what I may have missed when I watched them late on a Monday night or some such. So far I've rewatched 608 Mastering Machine Applique (Pat Holly/Jennifer Forest) and 904 The Wonderful World of Embroidered Applique (Sarah Vadeler). I am planning on doing the 2012 BOM by Sarah, which is what inspired me to rewatch shows in the first place. Both of these shows have really fired up my quilting/applique/machine embroidery engine and I can hardly wait until the cabinet is in place and I can actually start. Interestingly, Pat Holly embroiders the backgrounds and Sarah Vadeler embroiders the appliques. Hmmm....maybe it would work to put these two ideas together in some way. Anyway, the shows are fun and I'm inspired.

BJ, for some AWESOME inspiration featuring both embroidered backgrounds and embroidered applique, check out this blog entry by Tom Russell about my friend Kathy Drew!

You know, I don't have an embroidery machine, and have never done machine embroidery, and don't really want to invest the time and money in learning a new hobby!

          Repeat 100 times!!! LOL

Y'all are making this really hard for me!!!

Here's a link to Kathy's "room". This lady is incredibly talented and prolific so this is more than just a sewing room!

oh i'm so jealous - it seems like kathy's room is about the size of my whole apartment... hmmmmm does one really need a bedroom too? maybe i can just convert it all into a sewing place and snuggle up on the scrap heap when i get too tired to play :P

I could put that room on my Santa list. Like you Lotti that room is bigger than my apt maybe we could sleep on the sofa. I have been cleaning and organizing for two days, I knew it would get worse before it got better, boy was I right, my son the most organized person I know is coming tomorrow to help get me ready for the holidays I would do before and after pics but I am too embarassed. Enjoy your room Kathy you deserve it. Joan

Lotti, you could set up your bed under your cutting table, I guess.
