    quilt shops in Hawaii

I have a colleague who is going to Hawaii in a few weeks and she wants to know about quilt fabric stores. She will be travelling all over the islands after her academic commitments and hopes to buy fabric.

    Thanks ahead of time

There are several - don't remember the name, but there's a great on on Kawaii. Hawaiian quilts, "Kapas" are wildly popular. For quilt shops, she should just check the yellow pages. Also, one of the major hotels has a permanent Kapa display. So just poke around and ask the quilt shop ladies. They'll tell you where to go (LOL). Many years ago I stumbled upon a fantastic quilt collection on display - all by Caryl Bryer Fallert. Ya never know. Also - check out quilt shops Hawaii on google.

In February 2010, I vacationed in Hawaii--specifically, Honolulu. While there, I had great fun shopping at Kaimuki Dry Goods. You can see my photos posted on TQS Show & Tell's World Quilt Shop Tour.

If you are a fan of Hawaiian quilting and have the time, you should plan to attend a Hawaiian quilting demo at the Royal Hawaiian Quilt while in Honolulu--check out their website at http://thehawaiianquilt.com/#/page/home/.

        Have a great trip!!!
