Are There Any Quilt Pro Software Users Out There?
I know EQ is the popular quilt design software, but wonder if any of you are familiar with Quilt Pro?
Originally posted by BarbaraAnneI never liked the idea of partitioning and would love to hear how you like Quilt Pro. Maybe we need another FORUM topic for us MAC users, or is there one out there that I just haven't found?Originally posted by debkendallI just ordered Quilt Pro for Macs http://www.quiltpro.com/go.php?id=qp5mac_features. I'm expecting it to arrive any day. I have used EQ on my previous Mac by partitioning the hard drive to run Windows so I could use Windows programs. I have the latest version of EQ but I haven't installed it yet. I would much rather use a Mac-friendly program so I decided to try Quilt Pro.Originally posted by leafyWish I had EQ....but it doesn't work on Macs.
Anyone have a good program for designing on a mac?Tags: None

BarbaraAnne, if you will check this forum topic you will find some helpful tips for navigating the TQS forum:
http://forum/forum-questions-and-sug...-the-tqs-forum
In the meantime, from the main forum page, if you will click on "This and That (quilting related)" in the first set of topics, you will be able to find "Are there any quilt pro software users out there?" listed in those threads.

Thanks Margo.....it was the This and That that I didn't pick up on. I think I turned my brain off when I retired from working on computers on a daily basis. I now try to focus only what I need or I would spend all my time on-line. Guess that's a new years resolution even though I no longer make those.

At the top of each forum page you will see the name of the thread and the name of the topic it's listed under, if that helps any!Originally posted by BarbaraAnneThanks Margo.....it was the This and That that I didn't pick up on. Personally, I just always go to "view new posts" to see what's been posted since the last time I checked.

Sorry for any confusion about where the post is. I haven't posted that much and I've never "started" a topic! I tried to put a link to the thread in the email I sent you BarbaraAnn, but I couldn't get it to work. Oh well! I do what Margo does "view new posts" each time I go to the Forum. That way I keep up with all the current postings.
Speaking of postings - I can't figure out how to add the smiliesWe'll see if they show up when I submit the post.

Hi Dorothy. I did get the software the other day. I've played around with it a little bit. I am pretty well versed in EQ6 so I've been fumbling a bit with Quilt Pro. Of course I haven't read through the manual yet. My first impression is that EQ is more user friendly and has more capabilities than Quilt Pro. Although, EQ has a lot of features that I would probably not ever put to good use. But I'll keep playing with Quilt Pro a bit more, then give you an update. I really want to like it, because I don't want to partition my Mac to run Windows programs. Quilt Pro recently updated the Windows version to Version 6 while the Mac Version is still 5. They plan to update the Mac version but haven't released a date yet. You can read more information on the two versions here:Originally posted by dorfymidDebbie has your Quilt Pro Software arrived yet ? I also have a Mac and am very interested in what you think of this product. regards Dorothy Suffolk UK

I'll let you know more later. In the meantime, I've gotta figure out how to get those smilies in my posts!

Debbie, when you fill out your text box to post on the forum, all you have to do is position your cursor where you want the smilie to be placed, then click on the one you want to use!
