I belong to another forum called BIG TENT PODCASTERs and those that listen to them meet there and exchange ideas and just talk quilting. Recently I taught myself how to podcast and I post my own blogs and podcast about all kind of things... Whatever crosses my mind and those that know me know I am not SHY about expressing my opinion. I follow the podcaster blogs there and here. I use GOOGLE READER to help monitor the blogs when NEW POSTS are listed then I can read things that interest me.
The various podcasters' websites are displayed below. Use these links to go to the podcating blogs, or discover a new quilting/podcasting (Quiltcast) blog. The most active podcasters are at the top, but all the podcasters would appreciate your support.

My favorite quilter blog is http://www.ohfransson.com by Elizabeth Hartman. It's a great site for both the novice and experienced quilter--lots of great tutorials and free patterns.
If you like applique, check out http://erinrussek.typepad.com, by our own TQS member Erin Russek.

For something a little non-traditional, bright and happy, try
http://bumblebeansinc.blogspot.com/
No quilt police here. She emphasizes playtime - 15 minutes of playtime every day, to be exact. Kind of like Ricky's caveman style, not a lot of rulers. Just fun. She has a second site where her online 'guild' posts on their progress, also. It's also a fun place to check out...

I follow a lot of blogs, traditional, applique, you name it, but I find myself looking forward to seeing what's on the BumbleBeans blog each day...

I have a number of blogs bookmarked,a few favorites are fibermania.blogspot.com,itsafiberlife.blogspot.com .Also http://www.houseonhillroad.com ,not necessarily about quilting but I learned how to put a zipper into a pillow cover and have it look neat and professional from her tutorial.Often you can find interesting blogs by following the links on these blogs.Have fun. Once you start exploring, you will "go down rabbit holes" as you pursue the favorite blog lists of the blog you are visiting. It's always so interesting to come upon a great blog. For me, that is one that has a minimum of recipes and cat pictures! One of my favorite finds of all time is Mijafiberart.com. Love those guys! Also, Annbrauer.com. Now I'm starting to think of so many others - ruthbmcdowell.com - I could go on forever. Happy searching!

This very cool video was mentioned on Pam Holland's Blog.

I find Pam's site great because she keeps adding something new almost every day, and she has such diverse talent with many visual arts.

Having everyone's blog housed on the site is not only redundant, but cost prohibitive because of the memory required.

I have a few blogs I read regularly saved in my favorites, including some of the gals here on TQS. Then I always check to see who blogged here. I like the TQS blogs because it is part of how we get to know each other better. I feel there are so many who now blog somewhere else and it takes too much time to go to every one.

Sherry, I agree with you about some of the blogs. What I've done is to set some of them up so that I receive their new blog posts in my email inbox. That way, I can read and comment without having to navigate away from TQS. Maybe that could be a solution for you as well?
