I have started a list of my UFO's but when I stopped at my LQS to get an engagement calendar they had none. It will have to wait till I go to the next town over (72) miles. If I get some extra cash I may order online. Goal, to have one by Feb 1st. It already helps to have the list.

And the story continues . . . I am going to make my own engagement calendar and save my money for quilting.

For 2011 and the rest of my quilting life I will always make sure I BUY ENOUGH FABRIC FOR THE QUILT.... I can always add to YOUR STASH... but if you do not have the fabric you need you have to fudge the quilt.

Posted on my blogs the story behind the statement:

John Flynn (who is in Episode 410) once said that he has developed a perfect formula for never running out of fabric!

You mathematically figure exactly how many yards you will need, then double it and add a yard!

Doncha just luv it!!!

Someone just gave me a small calendar. So I'm going to try to write down what I get done each day. I filled in what I did on Tuesday at retreat. I didn't get anything done yesterday, but I'll write down what I get done tonight. It's a great idea.

I have several to do's this year. I'd rather not say resolutions because that always leads me down the wrong road but here goes...
                        1. Finish baby Matthew's Curious George quilt by the time he goes from his crib to his *sniff sniff* big boy bed.
                        2. Quilt a brown quilt top I inherited from a guild member who passed away and give it to my BFF Naisha for her birthday in March.
                        3. Quilt that stinkin' Christmas star wallhanging that I spent months on and never quilted.
                        4. Get more than 2 blocks done on my Dear Jane quilt.
                        5. Forge my way through the 2011 BOM and not give up when frustration hits. I still have a ton of star blocks from last year that aren't going to be a full quilt unless I put them in something else.
                        6. Create a new Princess quilt for my beautiful little girl who wants to make her room more grown up like...again *sniff sniff*

I like the term goals better.

Wedding quilts - 2 - one for dd1 and dsil2b, one for ds and ddil2b - both weddings in July, but I won't pressure myself into having them done by then, especially since they both just got engaged just before Christmas and I have no idea of patterns or colors at this point. I know what both dd and ddil2b would like so do I just go from that?

Baby quilts - 2 for sure.

                          WIP - finish all BOM's - 2008, 2009, 2010

I have many other WIP's and I'll work on those somewhere in between these.

Over the past several years, I've accumulated quilt kits that I've purchased or put together with a pattern and fabrics. My resolution for this year is to get all those kits competed. I've put them each in project totes (8). I'm doing 1 or 2 blocks from each kit every month until they are completed (including Beloved Beauties and Ruffled Roses). The variety of techniques/blocks takes the boredom out of the constant piecing.
