Does anyone know what's happened to Sharon Schamber?

Even though this is not Sharon Schamber's website, I thought maybe someone out there in TQS land would know what's going on at her website. It's been about 3 months since they put up any new videos. Repeated questions and asking for help on the forum are not answered. Clearly something is wrong. I hope she and her family are ok. Those who are going to Houston, I hope you see her there and maybe help solve this mystery. Her site is really expensive but until the last few months it has been a wonderful help for me. I hope they fix it.

My guess is that all of her efforts have been put towards her first issue of her bi-monthly magazine which was supposted to be out around Oct. 15. Just guessing!

I too have been going on her site to see if there has been ANY updates. Nothing. At least her son who handles her website could have posted a message so members would not get so upset. If it is a problem with Neil her daughter's website is up and running and maybe the family could have posted a response there. I've sent a question about something I bought on this site and did not get a reply.

If you saw the Daily Blog-she won again in Houston! Looking at that picture, it must have taken her months to do.

Eileen, it is HUGE! And what you can't tell is that the border and the black corners that looks like little pink and black piecing is actually pink and black interwoven piping and you can see through those parts of the quilt!!! There is also MILES of more piping around the edge in little loops! More detail than I'll ever attempt! It is GORGEOUS! I'll see if I can get some more info about it today.

OK, I spoke with Sharon and her husband today and they "think" the quilt is 104" x 104".

Here are a couple of photos of some of the piping details:

She was talking about the quilt at the show and said it took 4 yrs to do! She also works on 5 or more other quilts at the same time and said she has the next top all done and ready to start quilting.

4 or 5 at a time? Dang!! Makes me feel like a slacker (kidding) Plus she travels around the country teaching.

Hooray! They seem to have finally fixed their website with a few new videos and a new newsletter. There is even a new free video on piped binding and one showing Sharon working on her prize winning quilt, if you are interested. I do hope they add several videos to make up for the months they skipped, however. Anyway, it seems they are back up and running.
