This is the bane of my existence. I procrastinate my life away on this computer or in front of the TV. DD Keri says it's a symptom of depression. DUH!! Isn't that why I'm taking Cymbalta? Yes, it is helping in many ways but not with quilting apparently. <sigh>

It has teased me since I made the design 6 years ago. Made the top last year and started to quilt it this early spring, but thread breaks and I don't like, what I have done on it. I am trying to find out how I would feel, if I trashed it. The feeling is not clear yet, so I have decided to give it 1 more chance and then trash it, if it is still not cooperating. Great relief? Could be.
Please don't trash it. Send it to one of us and let us have a go at it.
I totally agree with Ritzy!! Please let someone else have a chance.

I find the things I procrastinate on are the ones that I am not sure of the technique or that are for me and not for someone else. It took me about 5 months to finally attempt embroidering on my art quilt, cause I'd never done it before. And then when I messed up and had to rip it out and start again, it sat for another week or two. Now I have a quilt top for me that is hanging on my wall, I love it, but I have no idea how to finish it. I can kind of see what I want to do but am not sure how to do it. And I have a table topper for DD that will be free motion embroidered and again I'm stuck, (read as scared) to attempt it. Course it has to be done for Christmas, so I'll get to it....someday.

Thanks for your comments on my quilt. But no way I would send it off to someone else. This is my challenge and I'm wondering if the real challenge is my ability to get rid of it . I think what really went wrong on this quilt was the choice of fabric (very tight woven) and then the batting turned out to be too heavy and that combination is not good. I migth try my pattern again, when I've got time for dyeing more fabrics. I have got some Kona Bay cotton and Radiance cotton/silk blending, which I'm sure will work better. But all you clever folks might tell me what kind of fabric you use for dyeing. Or is that a new thread?

Thank you, Margo. I am not yet using this forum as effective, as I could. It seems there is always an answer for the questions you have. I noted this and will certainly use the information later.
