No quilting for me right now, as I'm in Cedar Rapids, gearing up for the Region 22 Sweet Adelines competition. My chorus won last year (without me) so we only sing for evaluation this year to see how we're doing with getting ready to sing in the International competition in Seattle in October. We did stop in Galena on the way down today, and I HAD to stop in at Phat 1/4's - and of course spent money! I hope to get to Pine Needles while I'm here, too.

Well I have been sewing up half square triangles for a scrappy quilt, sooooo many of them, I tell you I am now having nightmares about them he he he he

Have to go to the shop tomorrow to buy some wadding for my redwork top, then I can start quilting it, its only been hanging in the quilt UFOs for about 3 years........LOL

Have just finished tracing heaps of baby patterns on my daughters cot quilt ready for me to start hand embroidering it, making one in pink and one in blue, I have started it tonight, and chose to use pink cotton........although i think its going to be a boy........

p.s. how do you attach those smily faces to my post please ???

I went to Paducah a few years ago and would LOVE to go again, but for now I will have to live vicariously by everyone else. As for projects, I have to get spring cleaning done first. Technically there is a quilt on my machine. It is my SIL quilt that I am adding a border to. I am to the point of quilting diagonal lines, then it will be time to bind. once finished I need to make a boy baby quilt for same SIL. :-)

Okay, I'm joining this discussion a little late, but I'll chime in anyway. I've been busy this week. I'm sad I'm not in Paducah with my quilt, it just wasn't possible for me to get there. I'm trying to finish quilting my 2009 Thimbleberries Club quilt, I'm also trying to finish a group project which I have no idea how I got put in charge of- borders are a one person job... In addition, I have a ton of customer quilts to quilt, one will go on the frame tomorrow as soon as I get mine off. And then, my son is graduating from high school this year so I'm planning an open house and trying to get my neglected house in order. The next month and a half are going to be fun... I wish I could run away to Paducah. Any quilt shows next week anywhere?? And the next week??

I'm working on two sets of "12 Days of ..." redwork blocks for my DDs and more pillow cases! Someday I'll get to Paducah, luckily until then I have TQS!

Lorchen.... YOU WILL LOVE BEING A GRANDMA.... I spent the day running after my 2yr old grandson. I put two extra miles on the pedometer today just trying to keep up.

As for quilting I have a fancy binding to do for a gift baby quilt AND then just plain binding to do for my sofa throw....

I am working on improving my MACHINE QUILTING. I am making practice batts ala Patsy THOMPSON's dvds.

                          Have a happy quilting day.

I went to MQX last week after Mom was settled into the physical rehab. This week I've been playing catch up with customer quilts.
