I'm busy in a Quilt U class on EQ6...learning the easiest way to draw applique wreaths. The rest of my time, other than work, is spent watching the winter storm warnings for the Washington DC area...16 to 24 inches of snow...wow. El Nino has been doing a job on our area this year. We haven't had a "real" winter in years. Our LQS had their super bowl sale early because of the anticipated weather, so, I just had to shop this afternoon.

I have been doing some quilting lately, but somehow I have much more quilting thoughts and plans than actual finished projects. Could be due to all the traveling I know that, but I am weary of all the thinking about it and wish to stay home and actually doing the quilting.

Here February is always a dead month.
January, still recovering from the excesses of Christmas and the New Year.
March, the bulbs are up and buds are swelling and the days are noticeably longer.
February.
Hmmm.
Valentines and half term.
Joy, bliss.
Hardly inspiring.
BUT...
Sometimes you need the bad to make the good seem better.
Patience Anna, something you seem to lack in bucketfuls. Take each day as it comes.

I am back at work part time (after being ill) and soon will be back full time. This does not leave much time for quilting but today was a day off and I got a wall quilt (blocks) all put together and ready to go to the long arm quilter as well as another quilt ready to go for quilting. Prepared the binding for one of the quilts and got out the fabrics for the BOM I am doing at the LQS.
The sun is finally shining today and it is beautiful with all the frost on the trees from the past three days of fog.Deborah W

I have been cleaning my sewing room and parts of the house... BORING... but I go back to work after a medical leave... so IT MUST BE DONE.
I am going to play with my stash cause I now have enough room to put 6 bins on the basement storage shelf... these will be color coordinated when I get done.... Everything must be put away!!!
MY GOAL FOR THE WEEKEND.Deborah W

I've taken time this week at the fitness center. It takes me 40 minutes driving to and from plus about an hour doing activities. that ends up being a chunk of time. I've finished one of the baby quilts and need to get the binding on the other and then there is those sawtooth stars. Oh ya, working 2 full days a week, taking Mom to appointments. OMG I'm tired. I'm always checking here not always taking time to type. Sorry
