ANY BODY FRAMILIAR WITH INKLING by Linda Franz?

    http://www.lindafranz.com/

I got out my Dear Jane and Diamond blocks to see if I can make a quilt.... but I need to make more...

I found this INKLINGO product that looks interesting... has anyone used it ... Is it worth the money?

    Hi ladyrags,

I am currently using it to make a grandmothers flower quilt. I have printed the hexagons onto Ricky's stable stuffy without seam allowance and am hand sewing like english paper piecing. It works great... I just need to make sure I cut right on the lines so everything matches up right. I have also experimented with printing on the fabric and that also works well. My only complaint is I am stuck with two sizes and can't change it. for instance, i had bought a pack of hexagons that were in metric, but inklingo doesn't convert to that. So the hexagon stable stuff are actually more than 1/4" seam smaller than the pre-cut fabrics. Hope this makes sense. basically means larger seam allowance.

    I like it. Cheryl

Oh I forgot, I also am a member of the Yahoo group that gives a lot of information on it.

I've used the free lemoyne star pattern to make a bag (see personal Pictures) and thoroughly enjoyed using it. I very heavily starched my fabric (allow the starch to soak into the fabric for a few minutes before pressing and repeat 2 or 3 times to achieve stiffness comparable to paper/card) and sent it through my printer without paper backing. Don't cut your fabric longer than approx 11 inches and only put through one sheet at a time (don't stack them up)

On the matter of sizes, with some fiddling about with the scaling on your printer you should be able to create any size you want, although the 1/4 inch seam allowance will no longer be accurate. Last years BOM we had to be careful to have 'no scaling' on our printers or the paper piecing sheets came out the wrong size, therefore why not use something that can mess you up, in reverse, to help you out

        yours in the cause

I'll have to play around once I get my inklingo to work. I got a mac for Christmas and the password doesn't seem to work. thats one of the reasons I signed up for the yahoo site. Luckily I started the flower quilt before christmas and have plenty to work with in the meantime. But eventually I will have to figure out the problem.
