    Any Ideas for a Quickie??

Today at our sewing group we were talking about one of the shows we attend. It's an agricultural show with a good support and we are in the craft section.

I know it's November and this event happens in August but we do have the Christmas Do in July so it evens out over the year. :P

At this event they like to have a Make It Yourself where a small group can pay (everything goes to the charities) a couple of pounds to make something. Year before last it was felt pot holders, last year a quick fabric brooch.

The search is on for ideas for next year so if there is any pre prep to do it's well catered for. I'd like to pick your thoughts please so we can have a try out and see what could be used.

We have to remember that the people who want to sit and do this are usually either children or quite often thread challenged!

There is a time limit of about 20 minutes or queues start to form. If we, as accomplished needle people, can do this thing in 10 minutes, then 20 should be plenty of time to set someone up and make a 'thingy'!

It doesn't necessarily have to be 'quilty' just 'sewy'.

It was scary to see all eyes swivel to me to come up with ideas, I'm the newest and youngest and, as one lady very kindly stated, a breath of fresh air to the group but I have no ideas about this one! I'm hoping one of the best resources out there can come to my rescue. ops:

    Yours hopefully,

Amo, I presume this has to be handwork, not done with a machine.

Oh yes, all by hand. ops: It's in the middle of a Hampshire field.

A lesson on how to milk a cow???

        Sorry, Amo, couldn't resist.

I don't have any that I can take a picture of at the moment. But you can do a lot of interesting and easy things with cutting out shapes and patterns from sequin waste and then handsew it onto felt. You could finish the piece off as a bookmark, for example.
