I love this thread. Neat thoughts. Here's mine.

"When in danger or in doubt, run in circles, scream & shout."

Don't remember the author but it makes me chuckle.

My daughter collects quotes; this is one I "borrowed" from her:

If you think you can or you think you can't, either way you're right!

(I don't know where it came from.)

Wow' you guys are doing great with the quotes. Here is another that I like

I've found this one to be true so many times in my life:

                "Things happen for a reason"

                Another one is:

"God answers prayers; though not always the way you want".

One that has served me well is, "Choose your battles." It's the only marital advice I've ever given, because it's worked for me.

A quilt is more than the

This is a statement I made up ten years ago when I turned 50. And It still hold true now at 60.
"I am not what I once was, nor am I yet what I will be."
I have heard that there is an Indian proverb that says "You can never step into the same river twice. The river has changed and so have you." Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here at TQS

This is a minute late and a dollar short but here's a couple that have recently become very important to me...

"It is not a slight thing when they, who are so fresh from God, love us." -Charles Dickens

                              And my favorite:

"Cleaning and scrubbing can wait 'til tomorrow. For babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep."

I have the second one on a sticker pinned in my sewing room to remind me of how special this time is. My three kids are 9, 6, and 10 months. I used to be picky about keeping the house clean and trying to do everything when my older two were little. With baby Matthew, I just don't care anymore. I am okay with my house being dusty and dishes being in the sink because I used that time to sit in the rocking chair cuddling with my baby. I now know that my sweet little baby is going to turn into a young man before I know it and I want to hold him in my arms as much as possible while I can!

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO-HOO what a ride!”"
