My DD, Amanda, is the mother of 5 children. It was her turn to pick up the kids from school. She loaded all the kids in the van and proceded to go home. She asked my oldest grandson, Noah what went on in school that day. He was so excited..he said, "Johnny gave me a "bullet" and he said I could keep it in my pocket!" My DD said, He gave you"What?"...at that point she had yanked the car safely over to the side of the road, thinking all the time of the stupid parent that would alllow ammo to be around little kids...what piece of her mind she was going to give that irresponsible adult!! At that moment Noah pulled out of his pocket a Super Tampon and said..."Look how BIG it is Mom!!!" He was so very proud to get his hands on a real bullet! The other kid's mom called them bullets and oviously neither one of the boys had a clue what they were for! Amanda had Noah step out of the van and she took a photo of him proudly displaying his trophy "bullet"...Yep...we will see that photo again when he gets married, at the reception!

Why have kids if you can't mess with them?

My mom has a picture of my younger brother with his hair in curlers (because he wanted what I had! Silly boy!) sitting on the toilet, with a book he was "reading" upside down on his lap!
I think he was 3 or 4. Whenever it gets brought to mind, I wish I had my big sister hands on it.

Once when my daughter was 4 or 5 we were driving along and I could see the truck in front of us had a couple cows in an open trailer in the back. At the stop sign I pulled up along side the trailer and and rolled her window down. She looked out at the cows and yelled out, "I like milk...2%!"

Like the cow needed to know that! It was hilarious and I still get a big chuckle out of it 25 years later.

For some reason, when my daughter Barbara was very small, she liked to wear her slightly older brother's "big boy underwear" (with the cartoon characters, etc.) on her head. She's now 30 and I think is very embarrassed that her brother posted that picture on his Facebook page!

One of my Mother's favorite stories to knock my brothers down a few sizes in thier big britches is to tell them about the phone call she recieved one day from the neighbor lady about the rockets that they along with my 2 cousins were launching in the back yard. You guessed it Tampons. A whole bow of 40 gone in an effort to go to space.

When our son was about 4 years old, we drove downtown and my son noticed several stray dogs roaming the streets. He had never seen dogs roaming like that -- not in back yards or on leashes or with an owner.

He asked me about them and I explained how sad it was that they did not have owners to take care of them. Then he asked, "Mom, you don't happen to know the NAMES of those dogs, do you?" when I answered, "No," he said, "I didn't think so."
