        it is a public holiday so there are lots of barbecues happening today and many people go to the beach. in Melbourne there will be fireworks tonight and various other activities. when i went shopping this morning there was lots of cars flying mini Aussie flags. Foe myself i will be trying to stay cool because i don't cope well in the hot weather.
