I vote for making 2009 "The Year of the Quilt" and maybe, just maybe I'll join the BOM squad. I'm not a traditional quilter, though, and have a ton of quilts I want to make, but I'm still thinking about it. Whether I do or not, I plan to do as much quilting as possible this coming year and push my skill level up a few notches in the process. I can hardly wait to see everyone's results! Cheers, Betty Jo

      Hi everyone:

On Alex's blogs on December 14th about my quilt "The Elements". Take a look and see what you think. As Joe said on a comment there, it started as wondering if it could be done, then turned into a spiritual experience. It was really a "way out of the box" work for me. It took us almost 2 years to get them done. We brought them home today for a quick freshening up. Will take them back to the center tomorrow. (I need to run a "lint roller" to remove any dust, etc from them then I put them in the dryer on air for about 20 minutes. Then run the "lint roller" over them again. They really look great, just get dusty after a while. Then we take them back and hang them for another spell at the center, before we do it over again.

Margarita, I wish there was a close up of the quilts. Are they appliqued? They are just phenomenal and I too wish I could see them in person.
