Finally things are starting to move along. My Dr. Came back from her vacation and we got a response from Dr. Lagios, the pathology expert from S. Fco., CA. He talked to my Dr. and sent a written report of which I got a copy. He says is not DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma in Situ) in his opinion is Lobular Neoplasia (atypical cells). His recommendation is to leave it alone and just keep a vigilant eye on it. He also mentioned that the cancer that was initially diagnosed as Invasive Ductal Carcinoma was actually Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. We're in the process of getting figured out how to get the Aurora RODEO MRI in California, to double check. You know how insurance companies operate and been an out of state issue might make it harder. Praying and hoping for the best. My Dr. is still concerned and wants to do another surgery to get one more piece of tissue and hopefully clear margins this time. She's also getting my case reviewed by a panel of doctors to get another opinion.
In the meantime I continue with Naturophatic treatments twice a week, healthy eating, lots of supplements and got back to Bikram Yoga. Hopefully will start PT for my right arm and shoulder soon ("cording" left over from surgery)
Once again, thank you for your support and prayers.'

Please pray for Annabelle. She is the one-year-old daughter of the couple that own the company that Greg works at. He got an e-mail yesterday that she was in the pediatric ICU. That is all that we know for now. Please keep Gary, Christine, and Annabelle in your prayers.

Update on my prayer requests. My DDIL returned home from the Mayo clinic on Sat. The doctor there did say she has thyroid cancer. A biopsy was done, but they do not have the results yets. She is scheduled for surgery on Oct. 11. On the 10th she has a pre-op and a consultation with the doctor and will find out for sure what type and stage her cancer is and what treatment will be needed after the surgery. Most thyroid cancers are curable, but as with most cancers some types are more aggressive than others. There did appear to be some lymph node involvement which really has me worried. Please pray for her and my son to have patience during the wait and the strength to deal with whatever they need to deal with.
My DSIL who has a return of her lung cancer finally started her radiation and chemo. Friday was the end of the first week. She just went to ER this afternoon to receive fluids. I hope that eases her symptoms (nausea, dry heaves, fatigue). She is supposed to continue with treatments tomorrow, but I guess that depends on how she is. Please pray for her and her family. Survival rate is 40 percent. They are raising 5 grandchildren, ages 13 yrs to 1 yr. They really need prayers!!

Greg went to Houston today to work down there the rest of the week. He found out that Annabelle has diabetes. They need to check her sugar level five times a day and give her a shot three times a day. Please keep them in your prayers as they adjust to this new "normal" in their lives.
