Dear friends I have a rather urgent request for Cathy, wife of a co-worker of DH at UPS. A few weeks ago she was licked in the face by her dog and got an infection instantly that put her in the hospital fighting for her life. She was bleeding excessively and her vital organs began to shut down. She was finally stabilized and the effects of the infection stopped. Yesterday her liver and kidneys showed dangerous levels. I'm not medically knowledgable so I'm describing this the best I can. All I can say is that her husband said she might not live through this. Please pray for her and her husband Al.Lyndhurst, Ohio USA - East Side Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio

It sounds as if Cathy is in an extremely critical situation. I know enough to know that kind of infection can overwhelm the liver and kidneys with the body trying to rid itself of toxins from the infection. I join in the prayers for Cathy. Thank you for the prayers for my daughter Maria. We saw the Periodontist on Monday and she does have some bone loss but he is not as concerned as the Dentist was. He is going to monitor her so we will be seeing him every 3 months for awhile. He is going to coordinate with the orthodontist as well and if her braces are not scheduled to come off soon they will need to come off early. He also gave us a referral to the Oral Surgeon because he wants her wisdom teeth removed. So we have that appointment on Friday. He said that some could be heridity but since I have no family history on her we don't know how much of this is. Maria was born in Guatemala and I did not adopt her until she was almost 6 and she had really poor dental hygene. Sometimes I think we are fighting an uphill battle with her teeth but we will keep fighting.
Thanks again
Teresa

Please continue to pray for DD Ruth. She is suffering from severe depression and after 2 months on one medication, which had no effect at all, the doctor has changed her meds but these will still take several weeks to make any noticeable difference. She is studying abroad and has no local support system so is really struggling. Thank you all so much. Your prayers mean so much and help me to get through this as well.
In leafy Berkshire, south of England.
