Hi Sue,
No my sister was marreid once, he abused her, she left after a few months. So she has counted on my parents her whole life. She has many friends in Florida, and I know she is worried about being alone and paying her own bills, but I worry if she does not get it together soon, how will she manage? We have three in college, and my brother will soon have two in college. So we pray, thanks.

Australia has been my main prayer concern these past few days. It is so sad and heartwrenching to see the devastation. Ann good to hear good reports but don't we also need you to have an action plan for the present health woes? Still praying. Joan I can so relate as my sister has been going thru the same thing and some days wins the lonliness and fear battles and some days loses big time. So I pray with understanding for your sister.

well I am pretty devastated as I write this. My brother has decided to leave mom with my sister, so that's that for me. The little time I had hoped to have with my mom is gone and I do not feel comfortable going down there again, so that is that. I need prayers this time to get over my feelings of anger. I wish I had better news, but right now I can't see the screen for the tears. I really miss California right now!

Joan my heart aches for you. I know how much you wanted to spend time with your mother. Just know that Alzhiemers patients tend to need the consistancy of the enviroment and caregivers. Many times if you change it, it can bring on terrible repricussions. So don't look at it as they ruled against you. Looked at it as they ruled in favor of ruling in favor of your mother's mental stability. Perhaps this will make things a little easier.
To all of our friends in Austrailia, I am truely sorry about the loss and devistation that your country has had to endure. Please stay safe.

Joan-I'm sorry things didn't work out the way you had wished. I do pray for your feelings of anger to go away soonest. God works in strange ways and doesn't always let us in on the why of things. There is a reason I am sure. I pray and ask for peace for you. Karen

Joan, I am sorry that things didn't work out for you and having your mother come stay. It is a difficult making any decisions at this stage of their lives, so many variables and sometimes change can be very bad for those with Alzheimer's as Rachel pointed out. I will continue to pray for you and your family. I have a friend who has a box she puts all her sorrows and problems in, she prays about them, and then lets God have them. Sew your sorrows in a small quilt and send it to the lady( I'm sorry, cannot remember her name) in remembrance and love for your Mom. Take care of you. Sandi in FL

Dear, dear Joan, I know your heart is broken, and I pray for healing.
And Joy to you, Ann!! My DH finds out today if they need to take another pint of blood from him...
And Jenny, my prayers have been on Victoria thru this whole horrible event. My DBIL is from Wonthaggi, and having visited 25 years ago (yikes!) I'm familiar with some of the areas. As horrific as the death and property loss toll is, my sister first visited him there the year after the last really bad fires in the early 80's, and was amazed at the amount of green returning, and special flowers that require the heat of the fire to regenerate. So know that thru the ugliness there will be beauty on the other end, as in so many of our troubles!
Hugs to all, Florence

Joan,
I'm so sorry to hear the rest of your family is overruling the desires of your heart. But the Lord always has the last word, and that doesn't mean things won't change in the future.
I was wondering if all your sister's security and identity were wrapped up in your Mom and it sure sounds that way. It may well be that time will change her perspective.
Praying for your heart and that you will have the time and funds for some nice, long visits with your Mom !
