Thanx Sandy! It's 9 1/2 in by 16 in. Didn't use bubble jet, so.....when I sprayed it down to block it there was some blotching. The LQS has the bubble jet stuff. I need to get over being so cheap. I'm always looking for a more frugal way to do things! I may just have to bite the bullet and buy the pre-treated sheets for the printer. Expensive! They sure do simplify the process though.

I went to my quilt guild meeting today. It was a work day. I helped a friend baste her quilt--I brought along my boards and we did it using the Sharon Schamber method, but using pins instead of thread to baste. After we finished hers, did one of my twin-size charity quilts. I find I can get a twin-size quilt all basted with pins using her method in less than an hour and a half, and do it sitting comfortably at a table. I love it. This evening, I got another treadle up and running. It's a battered old thing, but useable. I may give this one to a friend.
Pat in Rockport, TX, who's counting basting as sewing today.

It's a shame that they don't make things pretty any more. Some of my old machines are just drop-dead gorgeous.
Today, I quilted the twin top that I basted yesterday. I may get the binding on yet tonight. It's very simple quilting, just over-the-ditch with a serpentine line. One of my old machines uses cams, and this cam is very nice as an alternative to in-the-ditch, and goes much faster since I don't have to go nearly as slow.

After work each night I come home to take an hour nap... my kitchen time now wakes me up.. works great as long as I do not put it so close to me I can reach it and toss it across the room. By taking a nap I have the energy to sew at night....
I sewed for about two hours and got 11 strips of my bargello fabric sewed together. I would get a lot further if I did not dither about the colors I have selected and just went for it... so far I am pretty happy with it but if I did not dither I would not get much done. I think I am worrying so much because even though I was told my co workers favorite colors are aqua I do not know if she will like the other colors or style of quilt I am making her. I just want something bright and cheerful for her during her therapy.
Tomorrow is guild night and the speaker is Ray Houston ...speaking about Natcho Grandma Quilts. I have never heard of him before so this should be different and interesting. His workshop is about color theory... I want to go but can not get off work.

I did get some piecing and applique done today. Not much, but some, since I get tired quite easy. When I was in the hospital over the weekend, DH came back on Sunday, guess what he brought with him?
Well he brought my Series I - DVD. Did not watch any there, as I was released in the early afternoon. Glad to be home though.
Got my new computer today. A 24" IMAX. DH will be setting it up for me. After all the years on a PC it will be a learning experience for me.

I will be visiting the Dr.'s this morning, then taking a nap, then I am going to try to get some pillow cases for my son, to match the quilt I made for him. I will be posting my quilts just as soon as I get my pictures out of my camera!!! Debbie

No quilting yesterday it was reclaim my quilt and computer room :!: :!: :!: That is right. For too long my sons and husband have been throwing everything in here. Then the guitars, base, and amps joined the mess. Well out went everything. The cable guy came installed the fastest service for the computer service for me WOW  :!: That and we now have new cable service. What a difference!!! My computer actually no longer freezes and goes to other sites before I make coffee.
Unfortunately now I can not find anything again. Me and my short term memory issues organized things so well that I did not commit it to long term memory and now know where nothing is. :?

I got that binding on yesterday. Today I need to get a baby quilt quilted and bound, if possible. One of the nurses that I work with now and then is expecting a baby in September, and her baby shower will be Sunday on the unit. I have a top all done around here somewhere--it's a Snowball and Ninepatch done in 1930s repro fabrics.

Well I've managed to get some sewing done this week. DH had a drs appt on Monday so I got a log and a half sewn on the quilt I am repairing. Then on Tuesday night the movies were Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Village of the Damned. I watched the first and sat in the lobby and sewed during the second one. Got the rest of the log from Monday done and another one sewed. Today I am finishing up my crumb blocks for the exchange tomorrow. Plus I couldn't sleep Monday night and got some more of my FQs pressed.
