Rhapsodie Coloree
Just a little story-- I was away for the weekend and drove back the long way to go by a few quilt shops... so when I get home of course I have to show & tell, as well as produce souvenirs... Well, I had gotten the souvenirs on the trip, but George figured there had to be something for him from the fabric shops... As soon as he saw ONE little charm square on top of a tied-up pack, he says "that looks like Ricky's hand-dyes!" and sure enough, it was a pack of Ricky's Rhapsodie Coloree! I got the charm squares and was so glad to be able to see the fabric in person b/c seeing it on internet sites it's hard to know the scale, some of which is pretty darned big! so I asked George how he knew so quickly and he said "B/c Ricky is my friend" (Awww.... ) so anyway, as I was taking all the new stuff to the sewing room, I noticed the charm pack was ... ahem.... missing, so George has absconded with it already!

Florence, don't despair--- your George has good taste --- in friends and in fabric. He May Well Be the next Mr. Ricky and we can all say we knew him way back when. Tell him Hi for me and if he needs an extra Grandma I am available and I quilt well with kids.
P>S> wish I lived closer so I could help you with your class/group for kids it sounds like you will have fun

how funny, this thread is 2 years old! But anyway, it might be fun to have a DH who quilted, but George is my (now) 11-yr-old son. Search Curious George to see his profile. Unfortunately, he seems to have developed different priorities lately, although still willing to go to shows with me
he hasn't sewn much lately.
At least all my family allows me my passion
