Non slip backing for a quilt?

I am creating some patchwork throws for my leather sofas. Does anyone know of a non slip backing fabric that might be suitable for this purpose?

Everything I can think of would be pretty heavy for a quilt. But if you don't mind that, look for something with a slight nap--perhaps a very fine baby corduroy?

Kind of late...but velvet & corduroy would be slippery on leather. I'm not sure anything wouldn't slide on a slick leather...but if it's a suede type of leather...flannel or most cottons would work

Even later with this suggestion - but better late than never perhaps? If the quilt is purely for decorative purposes then how about that rubber mesh underlay that you can get for carpets etc. There is a very lightweight one at Ikea (called Stopp) which you could probably stitch in strips to the back of your quilt and I think that might work. I have a leather sofa and I just tried the underlay on it and it doesn't shift. But that's not to say that the weight of a quilt with the underlay wouldn't shift, but it's worth a try. Alternatively, how about a strip of sticky velcro on the back of the sofa and a companion strip across the top of the back of the quilt? That's all I can think of. Hope it's not too late to be of help.

My thoughts(if it is just for looks) were--how about that fabric with the dots on it that are used for toddler's pajamas. It is suppose to be non-slip. It would be washable too.

Hi there. Don't stitch anything on your quilt at all with this method: look for thin rubberized mats used under carpet or in camping stores to prevent dishes from sliding round, cut a large piece and place it on your sofa back, lay the quilt on top and it shouldn't shift too much. The beauty of this is that the quilt isn't compromised and you can remove both when you want to. Works great under chair cushions too.
