I was not suggesting the gulloutine for your lovely girls. I just knew whether you pluck or wait for the molt there is no way to apply dye without having wet feathers.

By the way, I do love chickens. Have you seen Maggie Walker's lovely flock of appliqued chickens. I want to have those ladies marching around my kitchen. I wish I knew how to add links to my posts. (Here's what happened when I copy and paste. I still don't know how to embed a link.) http://www.maggiewalkerdesign.com/qu...arty/info.html

I guess I do know how to embed links. It just happens when you copy and past! Who knew? Da!

Plenty of wet feathers today so I'll dip them as they are

To make a link you click on URL and put an = sign inside the first bracket after url, then paste your link and then between the two lots of url in brackets clink font colour choose one you want and then write something like Lois's link

If you quote my post you'll see it

      and I love the pattern

Are wet chicken feathers as bad as wet dog?

            Are chickens anything like canaries?

Thank you ladies for your kind words and encouragement.

Norma. I know what you mean about translating to English. That happens to me sometimes when reading or watching tv in Spanish. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to my post, specially because your name is the same as my best friend of 20+ years back in México.
