Had one of them years ago and got rid of it quick !. I found it clumsy even when small and the rest of the time
ate up too much table space..not a big enough room ! Also so small a quilting space...unless you have big harp
on machine ! At that point it was too much trouble !! Might as well do regular FMQ. Save your $$

I agree with Marilyn. That was my first toy for machine frame quilting and it was very cumbersome and awkward and didn't give good results at all. It went into the closet after the first use, and I finally tossed it. I eventually bought an original Handiquilter frame and put my old Singer on it and quilted with that for a year, before I sold it and bought a longarm. Perhaps you can find a used Handiquilter frame on Ebay... Wonderful machine quilting can also be acheived on your regular DSM, with practice.

LOL Marilyn! GMTA!!! I must be a collector of sewing machines: I have a Bernina 153 QE, Janome 760 Jem Platnum, two Singer Featherweights, my old Singer Touchtronic from 1981, and a 1907 Singer Treadle! I also have an A1 Elite Longarm with Intelliquilter Robotic System on it. I love ALL my machines!!

Michelle and Marilyn, (would that be M&M's)
Is this a disease? lol. I have a sister that has many, many machines.
My inventory is 4; an old singer I bought with high school graduation money, 2 vikings; bought one when the kids were little
and did a lot of mending jeans. The other one was a Christmas gift from DH.
An a serger, ( don't know how to use, it was given to me from my sister)

I'll just say 10!
ops:
We won't even talk about the cigarette lighter, trinket boxes, music boxes, S&P shakers, pencil sharpeners, bird houses, clocks, soap (!), quilt hangers, puzzles, appliqued totes and tees or jewelry!
Help! I've sewn and I can't get up!!

I counted 10 also. I don't know how that happened. One of them is on loan and another my DD is supposed to be taking to her house. Does anyone have an ABM Innova longarm quilting machine? I've been reading a lot of interesting things about it. Hopefully I will get to go to Quilt Festival this fall and try out a few different machines.

I thought I was bad at three. I have two of them set up all the time and I am going to get a SewEzi table so that the 3rd one will be up too. I was allowing myself to complain about how the garden was keeping me out of the quilting room. Yesterday we had a rainy day and I started getting a quilt sandwiched for one machine. The second machine will be set up to work on the borders for my pineapple quilt. The third one will have a piecing project ready to go. That way I will have a something to work on whether I have 15 mins or an entire rainy day. I have an itch to find a treadle machine and I sure would like a nice little feather weight. I see no one in this crowd going to discourage me from those ventures. LOL

I have an old treadle machine (with a shuttle bobbin), my grandmother's treadle machine that was converted to electricity in the 70s, a featherweight from my MIL, a basic singer (the first one I bought), a Pfaff select 4, a Janome Horizon MC7700 and 2 Lidl sewing machines! Okay, I make that 8 machines.
ops: Hmmmm! I didn't realize that I had that many - and in truth I don't think I am finished buying machines either.

I guess I am addicted too. I had to list them to count them. Just 9, counting my Gammill. I have a very old Howe with parts missing, a Singer 27 treadle (works great), a Singer 66 and a 99 (was my mother's), my Featherweight (travels with me!), an old National, newer Singer from about 1988, and my Bernina 440QE. I am restoring the 66 and 99. I am converting the 66 back to a treadle and the 99 I need to rewire. As soon as I learn how to rewire.
I love all the machines, and will probably get more someday. They are alittle harder to hide then some fabric, but DH doesn't complain too much. Besides, he collects guns.
