Problem solved! We can all relax now and party into 2012....... It'll be the year of the dragon, once the Chinese New Year comes....... MY year. Maybe I should try to party every day.

   Lovely idea! Perhaps this is the year I'll make my pink and purple dragon quilt I've got on my to-do list in celebration.

Betty Jo, that's a big relief! Glad you were able to keep a cool head and figure out an answer. After all your planning and work, it would be heartbreaking to have a wave that you couldn't fix. Yay!

Indeed it would! Well, a lot of my sewing experience came out of my days when I had a fashion design and real tailoring business. I learned a lot about easing larger pieces of fabric into smaller seams. So I just decided to apply that knowledge to the quilt. I think the "easing" has added texture and attractiveness to the grassy area. I did also lose some of the grassy area in the squaring and easing process, but it actually emphasized the knight a little more, I think. Thanks to you and everyone for your encouragement. By the way, I named the quilt "Equipped to Stand" (from Ephesians 6:13). I am hoping that the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival will jury it into the show. I would love having it displayed there even though I am well aware it is not a perfect quilt.

Betty Jo, perfection is boring! And I must say that I look forward to your purple dragon.

Betty Jo, I think your quilt is beautiful. I hope it is accepted into the show. I retired a year ago and it took me awhile to get into a groove. I did enjoy some wonderful sleepins. I think it just took my body a while to adjust. Of course the holidays messed me up again. The last of our guests left today and I can hardly wait to get the house in order so I can get back to my sewing room. I wish you all a wonderful new year and lots of beautiful quilts in your future.

Thanks Cathy...I am not quite in the groove yet Indeed, I still wake up when the alarm is supposed to go off. I'm hopeful I will be able to sleep a little later in time, but I sure am enjoying myself.
