    Bom 2022

Is there going to be a BOM for 2022? It is usually unveiled by now, and I cannot find anything about it.

    #2
Yes, the 2022 BOM is a beautiful project. It is expected to be revealed December 1. The show was taped in August and will begin January 1, 2022. Teasers are coming soon…

In my blog there are several references to Secret Sewing:

I think the delay in showing the BOM 2022 from the usual time of Oct. to December is somewhat problematic. Many of the other sites and quilt shops are showing their BOMs for 2022 already and have sign ups for these right now . It is hard to figure out which ones to do since yours is not released. November is the month of fabric sales and people would like to take advantage of these since fabric has become very expensive. It would be nice to see the next BOM and perhaps take advantage of the sales to buy fabric for it. Yes I know there will be a kit but not everyone wants to use a kit. I realize this is not a life threatening issue but I bring this up as food for thought.

LEARN, BOM, 2022 BOM, Month 1 Patterns/documents. Before you begin:

            1. Watch Show 3001
            2. Watch the Videos (7 of them)
            3. Watch the Live from December 27
            4. Read the two blogs posted so far, another comes out January 5. bbquiltmaker.blogspot.com

Barbara, I watched show 3001 and the 7 videos. I got a lot out of the hand applique video, even though I have done hand applique for about 2 years. My thread kept slipping out of my needle, which was frustrating. Sometimes the needle would slip out of my hand and I would lose it, which was worrisome.
I learned to make the knot near the needle from your video. I am thrilled!
I also learned to make the quilter's knot, which I am also happy about. I couldn't quite see the white thread against the white background with my 75-year-old eyes, but I learned that there was such a thing as a quilters knot, so I found another video that showed it with black thread. I can do both now!!!
I also learned about the size 10 milliner's needle. I tried it and I really like it.
I am thrilled! Thank you so very much.

Judith, what a great post—thanks. My work here is done if you learned the tiny eye of the needle knot with the light color thread I used.

On the LIVE coming up Friday January 7 I will demo that again with dark thread over a light background. That knot is a game changer for thin threads used by hand.
