I've been lurking in the background, so need to catch up a bit. First and foremost, my Hoffman Challenge quilt from 2015, Masquerade, was juried into the Houston IQA show! Can't believe it! She will be in there playing with the big girls! So, I am going! The one and only class I will be taking is the one from Danny (Liu) Amazonas. If you are not familiar with his work, just Google him, or go to Pinterest. Amazing stuff!

We spent a few days with the granddaughters in Madison, WI. I shared with them a few simple quilts on Pinterest, and now Mom says they are raiding her fabric basket! Awesome!

Good luck Rosemary, at the FOQ quilt show! Looking forward to seeing your entry with a ribbon on it!

Oh...........the grands gifted me with pink eye, and I've been trying to sew right through it. Not fun!

Hi All, I have had an exceptionally busy summer taking 2 months off work to finish this quilt and work on another one. So this quilt, Flourish on the Vine was all hand applique and for about 3 months after Christmas she and I weren't speaking. I even contemplated not finishing it, which I never do. But when we both finished pouting I finished her during my work break and am very glad I did. She just came from our local county fair and she won Grand Champion, as well as, Colorado Quilt Council Award of Excellence. She is now on her way to the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo and the judging is Saturday, which I will be attending. From there I hope to enter her into National shows.

                      Hugs to you both. Geneva

Ok, girls here is a close up. I did McTavishing in the center and swirls on the border, but a TINY stippling towards the edge. I really struggled with deciding what quilting designs to attempt. Karen McT was actually speaking at a local guild and I had a chance to speak with her and show her pics and she really encouraged me. I had never tried McT. before. Well after 5 minutes you figure it out, hehe.
