I found the machine at Goodwill. It was made in the 1950's by Toyota. It stitches perfectly. I am using it for piecing.
I am in need of the instruction manual or at least directions on how to use the embroidery cams.
    Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

Wow! Toyota made sewing machines, who would have thunk!! I love those old machine! I have 2 Singer from the 1950's, a 301 & a 401, those machines are fabulous and they will out live me,unlike my totally cool as all get out embroidery machines that I paid a fortune for!! Enjoy your old machine!

I am! It's a boat anchor, weighs over 40 lbs. Sews like a dream. Just got my "Redeye" 1913 Singer treadle going yesterday. My next goal is to complete a quilt using only it.

All except mine! LOL. I'm using the elimination process but so far no luck. There's a switch lever that moves from M to A that does something, just not sure what. None of the manuals online have this switch.
          Thanks

Sounds like a manual M to automatic A design selector lever. Use M for normal stitching and making buttonholes, A when using cams or built in designs. Refer to manual I found here http://quiltersbug.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Morse_4400_Manual.pdf

That is what I thought also. There aren't any built in designs with my machine. The cams are the drop in version. When I move the lever from M to A, it moves a lever inside the cam spot. I'm going to keep working. Thank you for your help!
