Terrie, you are so funny! And, congratulations on your new grandchild. I pray everyone is doing well!
With all of this talk about Eeyore (my youngest daughter's favorite when she was small) I just want to mention that my new sewing machine has all of the Disney embroideries in it. If you would like a Pooh scene for your row, let me know. I can work with that!
Rosemary, I'm am glad it is you not me, with a house full of giggling girls! Been there done that! BTW....what are the ingredients in snot soup? Not, that I plan to make it, but am just curious!
Well, time to fix dinner (Not snot soup....hamburgers!) so I'm out of here!

Snot soup - as I made it.
approx. 2oz butter
2 leeks - as much of the green section as possible, sliced about 3/8"
approx. 2pints homemade chicken stock
2 baking potatoes, chopped to about 1/2" dice.
S&P to taste
Fry the leeks in the butter so they are soft and starting to colour, throw in the frozen block of chicken stock and melt, when nearly all melted add the potatoes, put on the lid, bring to the boil and simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Put into the liquidizer and blitz until fairly smooth. Return to saucepan and season to taste.
Don't agonise about quantities too much, it is a very forgiving 'chuck it and duck' sort of recipe, but homemade stock really makes it good. And that is easy enough to do if you have had a roast chicken - save all the bones and throw them into a pressure cooker with a couple pints of water for about an hour. (although you could put them in a slow cooker/crockpot overnight) then strain off and put in the freezer for when needed.
All teenage werewolf's have been recovered by delighted parents and now in the throws tidying up.... ie Izzy is emptying & reloading the dishwasher, then hovering the lounge & dining hall.

Call me Eeyor or RR cheerleader I'll go by any name. You are all such fun. I would have loved to have Rosemary been my mother. Cool, cool clothes. Snot soup. I vaguely remember other birthday party treats and favors that were over the top special. This is the place to come for smiles. Terrie, is our comedian, not to mention Geneva. Anyway its always a good time. Carry on all!

Dorothy, with the exception of the roots and the bits going dry/brown, the whole leek is chopped and goes in. However if you can choose between leeks that have lots of dark green leaf, and leeks that are nearly all white, the greener they are, the snottier it looks.
Lois, I am with you, this is the place to come for smiles, cheering up, and letting our hair down. With a bit of learning on the side. :cheer:

I agree, you are all such fun. Rosemary, I will have to pass the snot soup recipe along to my DDs. They will love making it for Halloween sleepovers. I have also been there, done that with sleepovers, but the grands enjoy them at their houses. Grandpa and I like to sleep I will have to remember the Pooh sticks when the little ones visit. We used to do that when I was little, but I didn't now what it was called. We just wanted to see whose stick, leaf, whatever would move downstream the fastest. Hope you all have a great week. I am off to the basement to work on a Halloween costume. That an I am in the middle of an audio book.

We had eight girls for a sleep over one night--have to say they had fun and I just wanted to sleep.
Eeyore is my favorite Pooh character too Nancy. And I don't know what that says about us. I am having an Eeyore time today--just had to have my big dog put down she was a very good dog(I rescued her from the pound 10 years ago) and I will miss her terribly.
Loren is still in the hospital. Doctor said he could go home if he wanted but that he thought he should stay one more day.
On a more happy note--I was able to spend some time this morning on FaceTime with the twins. Of course all they did was lay on the floor and look cute but I enjoyed it anyway.
