    To all rowers,
On December 7, 2015 Lotti posted spreadsheets to enable everyone to know who they were sewing a row for on any month during our Robin. The post numbers are 134489, 134493, and 134494. So, if during the upcoming months you lose your notes just find these post numbers and you'll find your info once again.

THIS ROW ROBIN IS NOW UNDERWAY.
Feel free to follow us and post comments, encourage the rowing, and ask questions that you may have.

    Very few rules and guidelines.

Rows are to be 6 1/2" (or less) by 36 1/2" long. Please post your row by the end of each

The ROWING begins January, 2016. If you have any questions contact me. All information should have been rec'd by each member.

Wondering...will we each get a row from each participant? I would love that, not wanting to miss out on anybody - receiving from me, and receiving from them. All so precious.

I will need all info back from participants by Oct 25, 2015. Then I'll be able to get it out to everyone and they can start the designing process. This way, if you have extra time before Jan's start date and you want to work on something ahead of time, you can.

            Terrie,
That's what I'm hoping for. If 12 people join we will exchange for 12 months, if 10 people then it's a 10 month, and if it's 14 we'll go for 14 months!! So, thinking on that if it went for 12 months, if you sewed all of your rows into one strip set, it would be about 6 feet long/tall. I would probably put 8 together, sash around them then add the next 4, one to each side with some sort of setting blocks in the corners. More than 12? Hmmm,, I'll think on that.

Looking forward to getting everyone's info so I can get it coordinated and passed along to everyone. Remember, the sooner I get it, the sooner you get your info and can start the process!

            Happy stitching,
            Luann

I will acknowledge each response I get to my private email. I will also respond to pms thru the sight and request that you send it to me by the yahoo email address. Otherwise I will have to hand write everything you want and retype it,, and with auto correct changing people's names on me I can only imagine what I might tell someone you want!?!?

I'm off to check the emails on yahoo now
              Later guys,

Rows for me too. When I first read about the suggestions of a theme my mind went completely blank and I wondered what on earth would I choose  thinking that this was starting to get too hard inch: After a bit of not thinking about it the idea came to me of leaves, it could be spring leaves, autumn leaves, leaf print fabrics in some other type of block completely. Any technique that is your favourite. Just NOT 12 rows of pieced maple leaves please

Actually I could then incorporate them into a king size bedspread that DH mentioned that I should make, so it could be expanded to leaves on water/rivers, because the theme he asked for was a wilderness hunting & canoeing one. That way I would get to snuggle under all of your love & best wishes :woohoo:

I am in too. I think every other month is more realistic for me. We are talking 36 1/2" x 6 1/2" for the rows. I wouldn't know what to do with an endlessly long quilt. Is there a limit here? I am thinking 6- 8 rows would be a good size for me to find space and a more realistic commitment for exchanging. At the same time, I'd love one from everyone but don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

What if we 'capped' the enrollment like in the WOTTROT and if more members join, then we could just join 2 groups like we did then?

I also do not know what I would do with a 6 foot long 3 foot long piece of quilt. Could we make the row various widths?

Luann, how many have shown an interest so far?

Not sure what my theme would be, but I've been thinking what I would like from others. I think I would want something representative of themselves or their home area. Maybe it would be good for participants to describe what they would be like to make to share. Ofcourse, that may take the challenge out of being pushed into doing something different than what you normally do. Just an idea.

I believe the phrase you are looking for Wendy, is 'be careful what you ask for!'
Besides if we get too many rows for lengthways we could always put them sideways to widen it.

Lotti's sounds like it will be fun.

Added to which if it is a pieced strip it might be possible to divide it in half to fit your finished size requirements.

im getting lots of your information! Thanks for sending it. I'm compiling a list of who has joined in and if I have their 1- address and 2- theme. I'm going to try to get the list added to the first post. (I won't put addresses on) I think it would be a good to have everyone's theme info there.
