Wow, Sharon! Your hummingbird quilt is beautiful! Congratulations! Is that all hand cut and hand appliquéd? What applique method do you use? I've never taken to needleturn, but enjoy the Ricky Tims and/or Judy Neimeyer method, where I glue the applique piece to the backside of Stable Stuff, or other similar stay-in stabilizer, and then appliqué it on with what they now call the ladder stitch. I thought I invented that stitch 20 years ago, and I just called it the zipper stitch.

Love your name for ladder stitch Dawn - zipper stitch sounds newer and more fun.

Congratulations Sharon. Both quilts are beautiful, but I like the hummingbirds best. I am sure you will treasure them always!!
