Looking for a machine that can free motion quilt

I would like a larger harp than usual with some fancy stitches. I am not sure what other features are desirable.

I have had a Janome 6500 for 11 years. The main reason I purchased it was for the wide harp. It had a nice variety of decorative stitches and does a nice freemotion. Janome now has a nice variety of machines for you to chose from and their prices are a good value.

I have a Janome 6600. I think I paid $1500 or $1800 for it. It has the wider harp, lots of decorative stitches, alphabet. There is also a Yahoo group specifically for owners of this machine and the 6500. I haven't been on the group in a while, but when I first got my machine, I did lots of searches & found lots of helpful info. I really like my Janome.

Thanks Carrie and Sharon. Maybe I can get something for trade in on my machine. I might get it back today and will find out if it still works minus the thread cutter function that I was told would cost 4-500$ to fix. I am going to have to pay for what it cost to mail it to Baby Lock for that estimate. Will keep you posted on what I do.
