That's so beautiful, Margarita! I don't remember seeing it before so I don't think you posted it in the forum anywhere else. I'm glad you decided to post it here!

Wow, ladies! You have been busy!

First off, Terrie, congratulations on your new Featherweight! I understand they sew a perfect straight line stitch! Has she been to any classes yet? Have fun with her! (And, congratulations for hitting the "Cancel" button! Such restraint!)

Margarita, your quilt is wonderful. So colorful! With a bit of Celtic flair! Fun! I haven't seen it before, either.

Rosemary, holy cow! Talk about tiny! And, yes, it is a true miniature. Just because you went up in size from the original, doesn't mean a thing, since it is still tiny. You lost me on ESS. What is that? And, I think Geneva has the right idea for the quilting of it.

Annis, love the red and whites, in both the block and the finished quilt! You HAVE been busy, and having way too much fun with your new retreat center!

                  Beautiful, Margarita!

I've finished 5 of my red and white wall hangings that go high on the wall in my retreat center and have 4 more ready to quilt. The computer quilting is the same on all of them, and I machine stitched the binding to the back then turned it to the front and machine stitched with invisible thread, much faster than hand sewing to the back. And I did not put any stitches in the mitered binding corners. Don't tell the quilt police. This is one of them.

I'm still spending a lot of time helping my DD. She is improving slowly but has a long way to go. This week I started cleaning out her hobby/guest room which was mostly a storage room. The boxes are now at my house and I will take them back one at a time when she starts feeling like sorting through them. We realized it has been 6 years since she's done any sewing. No wonder she is so stressed! Next week she wants me to help her set up the machine and refresh her memory on how to use it. She has a quilt already started from 6 years ago to finish and the fabric for 2 more that have been at my house for awhile. Hopefully she will get her energy and joy back soon. Now she has a place to hang the wall hanging I made and hand quilted 12 years ago out of the leftover fabric from her wedding quilt. There are no stitches in the mitered binding corners on this quilt either. It was made before I knew that was what you were supposed to do.

And to help relieve my stress I've decided to let someone else quilt the 6 large quilts that are still waiting because they need custom quilted and I don't have time right now. This is my State Birds & Flowers quilt blocks arranged and ready to sew together, started 11 years ago. I'm hoping to finish it this year but it will not be hand quilted as originally planned.

This is the quilt I started at Melinda Bula's class last year. I gave it away to a member of the quilt guild. She finished it and surprised me by giving it back. I already know which room it will be going in at my retreat.

Wow Annis now I understand all the red quilts. The centre of the second quilt is stunning.

How lovely to get your flower quilt back and the person will get the joy of knowing her quilting will be enjoyed.

Annis, Your quilts are all lovely. I am always so impressed with the consistency of your completion rate and your willingness to decide I just can't finish everyone of them yourself. There really are some things more important than quilting. Speakinf of which, I am very happy to hear that your DD is feeling better. I think getting her hobby/guest room in order will go a long way to enhance her recovery. I think sewing is just the ticket. Here's hoping it's the right prescription.

So many lovely quilts, Annis. Thanks for sharing! I never sew the miters on the fronts of my quilt bindings (I sew on the front then hand stitch on the back) and I haven't had a single comment on that with my show quilt, so I think you'll be safe from the quilt police.

                            An is,
They are all so lovely. I especially like the flower piece. That's a technique that is on my 'wanna do' list.
I'm working on three art quilts at the moment. Each is at some point of progress. I will try to post a pictures. I'm new to the process on this site, so we'll see what happens.

And, I now know how to put the pictures 'into' the post ! I'm learning all the time.

PS: I will be praying for your DD's complete healing.
