Susan I do think the Swoon Block is a Carpenters Star or Carpenters Wheel... if not exactly, then similar. I think a real Carpenters Star has set ins for the diamond shapes, this does not.
Can't wait to see what everyone does with their jelly rolls and honey buns... they are hard to resist buying!

I like that block very much Michelle and the fabrics are really gorgeous. The jelly rolls are beautiful too. I have a couple of charm packs of in those blue/greens from Laundry basket quilts - they are gorgeous. And the Kaffe Fassett fabrics are always beautiful too. I hope you have fun using them. I found that I could use jelly rolls to make flying geese using Bonnie Hunter's method if that helps anybody think differently about jelly rolls. Sometimes it's hard to think of doing anything except 4-patches and 9-patches with them. Renata it's definitely time you shook the dust off your jelly roll/s?

Here's a picture of my first jelly roll quilt made with Kaffe Fassett jelly rolls:
I cut the jelly rolls fabrics into 2.5"x3" rectangles and sewed them into pairs, end to end. Then sewed a 1.5"x5.5" solid white rectangle between two jelly roll units. This created a 5.5" square unfinished block. You can see the blocks better here:

Love your quilt Nancy, looks really fun.
Rita, I had a go at Bonnie Hunter's method of making flying geese last week, despite only having one of the recommended rulers, and it worked really well - almost better than the make 4 geese in one method, which considering they were for my 1" star blocks was somewhat impressive.
It is a good thing that I do not believe that this forum could possibly go for 24 hours let alone 48 with out any comments at all  , and that I come and check anyway, because I haven't had any notifications of comments from tqs since saturday morning :? (I have sent a message to them about this).

I've shown this quilt on another forum topic, but wanted to let you know that it was also made from jelly rolls!! I used a ruler called the Strip Tube Ruler and their pattern called Multifaceted available here along with a video of how to use the ruler: http://www.cozyquilt.com/Features/StripTubing.aspx
I don't especially like that all of the resulting blocks have bias edges on all four sides  but the quilt went together easily and I really like all of the optional designs that you can make with the ruler. The uneven widths of the Hoffman Bali Pops that I used were not an issue with this technique.

Nancy, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Kaffe Jelly Roll quilt!! I am thinking that would be a perfect quilt to make - may I borrow your instructions for mine?
Margo, I remember that quilt. It is so pretty and the colors are so soothing. These days, though, it looks like too much work! I am getting more and more into SIMPLE piecing (perhaps because I am still working on my Sedona Star and I don't have enough brain left for anything else too complex?? LOL).
Perhaps we need a new topic called Jelly Roll Quilt Ideas... we can post pics and links or simple directions for quilts using Jelly Rolls all in one place.
