Help Im stuck...Sadona Star 2012
Is it possible that someone could e-mail me the paper pieced Triangle template that goes around the star in month one of the Sadona Star.? My scaling was off and I must have forgotten to re-print this template.Made 9 and they are 1/2 inch too small....Joy's of Quilting

Annie, can you remeasure the ones you made? They should be 7 5/8" finished size along the long side. So measure from the tip of the point along the outer edge of log piece 9. If it's 7 5/8" you are good. If it's a bit small, if it were me, rather than remake all triangles, I'd take off log pieces 8 and 9 (which are the last two logs) and cut new ones that are oversized. Perhaps make them 1/2" or more wider for each. Then I'd trim them down so the long sides are 7 5/8" PLUS a 1/4" seam allowance on each side. I think that would make them 8 1/8" with the seam allowances along the long sides. Does this make sense?
If you still want to remake all of your triangles, let me know and I can send you the template. I kept all the master templates on my PC, plus I printed one off on regular paper to check the size before I printed them onto the stabilizer. I kept the paper master in my notebook, so I only cut and sewed on the stabilizer ones. Do you have the master template on your computer? If so, try printing it out on paper and measure it to see if it's 7 5/8". On my printer, I had to click to choose scaling = 0 or 100% - can't remember which. Then I measured the paper to make sure it was the right size.
HTH!

Michelle, you just saved me a ton of work. My finished size is 7in -- .71/2 unfinished. And no I did not keep the templates on my computer, I printed them on paper. I will replace log 8 and 9. and then cut them to size. I will try one and check the results. I Will post the results here later....Thankyou for your help. Anne Marie

Annie, I just sent the template to you. Since you are more than a half inch short, I'd re cut those 8 and 9 logs with about an inch extra each. That gives you plenty of excess to trim to exactly the right size you need. They should hang over the seam allowance dotted line with a good amount of excess so you can trim them perfectly. I used Lapel Stick to glue the edges down in a few spots so my final cuts would be perfect and the fabric wouldn't move.
Good luck!
