Your stitching looks great. Is that the stem stitch that you mainly used? Are you planning on putting
some of the other stitches in the leaves? The French knots look great for the center of the flowers.

HelenW I was not planning to do any more to this one . More ironing for sure. I thought if I did more stitching you couldn’t see the color . Yes stem stitching is the one I used.

I used Inktense color pencils prior to doing embroidery. Quilted on Innova longarm.

Gayle, Your quilting really added a beautiful background for embroidery. I love it. When I have used
inktense pencils I have used a little water and they are much darker colored than just the coloring
without liquid medium. Did you use anything with the pencils? If not be careful about getting the
        piece damp. HelenW

I had plenty of embroidery thread and did not have the correct pencils so I experimented with some new stitches.

I use a fabric medium after applying the intense colors, any brand will do. Once dry, I iron to set.

My embroidery has been complete for more than a year and a half. Today, I finally finished it for framing. Yay! I sewed it to perfect Liberty of London lawn fabric and outlined the oval with white beads.

Susanne M. What a beautifully embroidered piece. It just looks exquisite. Would love to see a picture of it framed when you get that done. I have never framed (picture frame) any of my quilted pieces.
