Salley Mavor's website is well worth checking out

After watching the You Tube video about Making The Bed on Alex's Live yesterday, I have spent hours reading Salley's blog
and watching her short little videos. Carole B, I can see you doing your felt on linen making your own little
creatures and scenes. You would be great at doing that kind of thing. She shows how she puts embroidery stitches on wood by gluing felt to the wood and then
stitching on that. Very, very creative and inspirational. Take the time to check it out. HelenW

Thanks, Helen. After watching Alex yesterday, I immediately went searching for Salley. Her work just speaks to me and has given me an idea for something I was planning to do as a gift. I was thrilled to see her exhibit will be coming to Kennebunk, ME this summer-only an hour away! I shared the video on a wool appliqué group I belong to on Facebook. Many people were well aware of Salley and some have even met her!

We are in the start of a Nor’easter so I’m hoping to finish attaching my city buildings to my background on Color my World. I took a two month break to work on other projects. It’s good to get back to this and finish it up.

Carole B. I almost forgot how fabulous your Color My World personal version is. Be sure to post these pictures under
the Color My World section of the forum too. Would hate to have anyone who has made this quilt and knows how much
time and planning is involved to miss your masterpiece. I really hope you follow up on the Sally Mavor idea for scenes.
Wonder what other ways to get a 3 dimension look. Love the idea of covering things in wool felt and then stitching on the
felt. Hope you are surviving the storm. Do you have a back up generator? HelenW
