Great quilt Rita I'm sure she'll be thrilled. Have a good family time.
Renata I hope you and Betty Jo have cracked open the limoncello. Is there a bit left for me. Just sending my glass over
Well Rita fancy you turning up with Jennie Raiment and twiddling and fiddling fabric with her. I'll post pictures later. I met up with the great Rosemary, I hope you are going to share your fabulous thimbles on here!

Well, haven't done any sewing yet. However, I have replaced the blade in my rotary cutter, so I'll be ready for those log cabin strips! Meanwhile in the back of my mind is to prepare a mystery quilt for the guild, which begins in about three weeks. Any one out there a lover of mysteries?

Ok, here's the central part of the top. CLEARLY I am not very talented in making pieced blocks, since the pinwheel corners and center points of almost all the blocks are just not quite where they need to be. Sigh
I do kind of like how it looks overall though and I'm just going to finish it up.

BJ - I really like your quilt - Love the bird blocks and the whole thing reminds me of a soft dusk, when the sun is setting among the evergreen trees, in that rosy hue, sitting outside after supper. It exudes peace. Nice

Also, haven't sewn yet, but the rotary blade has been changed. Listening to soft jazz and feel kinda sleepy, just ate some chocolate and might be giving ino that Saturday afternoon snooze, 'specially after seeing BJ's quilt......looks nice to snuggle up with. Mine, when finished is more bright, like a bugle waking you up in the morning!
We need both.....muse......

I 'm on the forum at least once a day and I have enjoyed the comments of all of you so much and reading all the comments on your blocks. All of them are wonderful. I had no idea beginning blocks could be such a problem. I have ripped and resewn and remade over and over and finally finished this top. I started this because I had a Mary Engelbright design I wanted to use which had cherries in it and it ended up only being used on the center of the log cabin. I made the log cabin without waiting for instructions so they are not exactly right either. One of the blocks was wrong but I didn't notice ( I thought I had carefully checked) until it was all put together. It has been replaced. I'm looking forward to seeing all your great finished tops. Have fun.
