    Alex's Original Fancy Designs video

I just finished watching Alex's video "Original Fancy Designs" from 11/28/08. Thank you, Alex. Your videos are excellent, right to the point and very informative. This really inspires me to try designing my own quilt designs. I, also, love the quilt that is hanging on the wall behind Alex. The quilt looks like it was randomly made of extra blocks from various quilts. I would be interested in learning more about this quilt. I was thinking that some of the blocks look like they were made from many of the wonderful guests on Alex's shows. What a beautiful way to showcase extra blocks from our projects.

Marie I was hoping someone would answer you because I can't remember which show Alex explained that quilt on. But it is blocks from various guests who appeared on Simply Quilts. I just love it too.

That's Alex's 50th Birthday Quilt. The blocks were made by various quilters and put together and quilted by Cheryl Uribe I think.

Littleflower, Thank you for replying about Alex's wonderful quilt. It is even more beautiful because of where the blocks came from and why it was made.

WHERE can I see the video... on this site or is it available on DVD? I am asking cause I have dialup and can not get any of these shows and have to wait for dial up to be available.

Another question... are DVDs of SIMPLY QUILTS available anywhere??

This is one of Alex's teaching videos...from November. I think you'd still need the higher speed to see these videos.
If there are any videos of Simply Quilts they would be available through the hgtv website.

Great, I like watching (mostly listening) the quilt shows while sewing. I miss Simply Quilts, but I just love The Quilt Show.
