Long-Arm Machine VS Quilting Frame for a Domestic

I am looking into two different options, getting a long arm or getting a quilting frame set up for my domestic machine. I have a sewing machine with pretty good throat space, so I'm not too concerned with not having enough quilting space. Any other pro's or con's that you can think of?

I am not an expert at this but it brings up that we are going to have a new series starting in late May. It will be a 7 month video review of a quilter trying to make a longarm decision. We hadn't thought about the converting a sewing machine into a longarm. Hmmmm we may need to add that to the program.

I’ll look forward to watching this! I find it quite confusing to search the many types of long arms and I too would like to purchase one in the low to moderate price range.

Kim B. For some reason I was not able to "comment" on your post, but... I recently purchased a Long-arm machine with with a Q-Zone hoop frame. I went with the long-arm because my domestic machine does not have stitch-regulating abilities. The smaller frame takes up less space but still allows me to quilt a full size quilt. I have the option of upgrading to a full size quilt frame down the road. Now I just have to get comfortable using the Long-arm!
